New Talent Added With New ENTR Instructors
The Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program has added two talented instructors to their department, Oscar Moralez and Robert (Bob) Paden.
Oscar Moralez joined the ENTR team as an instructor for Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Innovation, ENTR 20000, in Fall 2021. Oscar is the Managing Partner at Boomerang Ventures and Managing Director at VisionTech Partners. His mission is to create an environment that enables innovators to build their ideas into technologies that ultimately become successful companies. Boomerang Ventures focuses on the healthcare sector, and provides the necessary resources, through Boomerang Studio and Boomerang VC Fund. Together, they help to build, launch, , fund and grow new healthcare and life science companies.
Boomerang Studio works with entrepreneurs, researchers, corporations, universities and healthcare systems to develop solutions to problems that positively impact healthcare. The Studio provides a strong team of experienced and proven entrepreneurs, a studio infrastructure, and capital needed to bring the client’s healthcare ideas and innovations to life.
Boomerang VC Fund is a $30 million venture capital fund that provides capital and other resources to rapidly grow and scale healthcare companies.
In 2002, he founded BioStorage Technologies, the leader in sample storage, inventory management, and cold-chain logistics for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. He was responsible for the rapid growth and expansion of the company, which was later acquired by a public company for $127 million.
In 2009, Oscar successfully launched VisionTech Angels. VisionTech is one of the Midwest’s most active angel investing networks, which now has over 50 portfolio companies, surpassing $24 million invested capital and more than 120 active investors. The vision was to create a sustainable platform that connected capital, support, and mentoring to entrepreneurs at various stages in their start-up journey.. Since its inception, VisionTech has seen three of its portfolio companies go public (IPO) and seventeen companies have been acquired as of 2021.
Robert (Bob) Paden is the Owner/Business Coach of The Growth Coach of North Indianapolis. He provides well-grounded guidance for hungry business owners wanting to transition to the next level —ranging from multiplying in size and stature, to positioning for sale, to gaining more life/livelihood balance. He also provides well-thought-out growth strategies and tactics to meet objectives with accountability and predictability, gaining more business development traction along the way.
Bob connects his clients to a value-added network of top-notch industry experts. Over the past three decades, he’s developed an extensive trusted advisor network, and he’s not shy about sharing it.
