The WGHI announces a new course for Spring 2015: NUTR 59000/BMS 59800 Women’s Health: Bone. This is a 1 credit interdisciplinary graduate-level course focusing on the development of bone mass through women’s lifecycle, from pregnancy to menopause and aging. The course also addresses related factors including an introduction to bone mass development, remodeling, and loss; the impact of nutrition/exercise; tools of assessment; genetic and emerging issues; clinical management and public health implementation strategies. The instructors of the course are Professors Jim Fleet, Katie Hill Gallant, Russell Main, Mary Jane De Souza, and Connie Weaver. It will be held 3:30-5:20 pm on Friday from week 9 to 16 of Spring 2015 at Stone Hall Room 217.
