Diploma Information for Spring 2021

Participating Candidates

For the Saturday, May 15 ceremony, all graduate, professional and undergraduate diplomas will be released during the check in process in Lambert Field House.  On Sunday, May 16, all Doctor of Philosophy diplomas will be released on stage if requirements are complete.

Non-Participating Candidates

Diplomas for those candidates not participating will be mailed four-six weeks following the end of term.  Please provide a diploma address through the commencement task list by May 8. If you do not provide a diploma address, your diploma will be sent to your permanent address on file.

For domestic diploma addresses, mailing will be with the US Postal Service. For international diploma addresses, Federal Express will be used and a tracking number will be emailed to you.

As a reminder, your degree notation will appear on your official transcript on approximately May 21.

Diploma Information

If you plan to have your diploma framed, please note that framing processes that require heat can damage the diploma and should not be used.

Double majors are reminded that they receive only one degree -- and thus only one diploma.

The sizes of Purdue University's diplomas are as follows:

  • Undergraduate -- 9 5/8 inches by 7 5/8 inches
  • Graduate and Professional -- 11 inches by 8 1/2 inches
