Career Counseling

The Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) is the place for students to go who wish to receive one-on-one counseling in career exploration as well as internship and job-search preparation. The CCO also offers drop-in assistance and other services. To schedule a counseling session with a career services consultant, stop by the CCO offices in Young Hall, Room 132, or phone 765-494-3981 to set up an appointment.

Company and Industry Data

The CCO posts salary surveys and post-graduation status reports so that students can see how much the new graduates of Purdue bachelor and professional-degree programs are making as they start out in their profession (sorted by degree program). Through your Purdue myCCO, you can access company data using Mergent Online.

Informational Interviews

In order to help you to clarify your career goals, expand your network and build your confidence, the CCO can give you advice on how to set up and conduct your own informational interview. These interviews are not job interviews, but rather a time for you to ask for information and advice about a particular career field or organization from people within that field or organization.
