Collaboration Express Transforming Indiana into a Magnet for High-Technology Jobs and Talent

About Collaboration Express

What is Collaboration Express?

Collaboration Express is an initiative from Purdue University that aims to accelerate Indiana’s capacity for attracting  and  expanding  high‐technology job opportunities among new ventures as well as second‐stage (and larger) employers.

How does the initiative achieve its goals?

Funded by Lilly Endowment Inc., in 2014, the initiative is charged with synthesizing collaboration between students, alumni, industry, non‐profit and public leaders to significantly expand high‐technology job growth throughout the state.

Specifically, Collaboration Express is:

  • implementing a robust program dedicated to bolstering those Indiana-based businesses considered technology-based companies and/or Hoosier companies that utilize emerging technologies and employ more than 10 people;
  • developing a shared, interactive visualization platform for career mapping and analysis and forging talent connections (to be available in 2017);
  • creating a course modules and tools for use by Indiana middle and high schools in satisfying portions of the academic standards for College and Careers instruction; and
  • empowering students to more effectively plan a successful educational pathway for high‐tech careers in Indiana.
