Study Skills Consultations

Study Skill Consultations are a great place to start when looking for academic support. Consultations are one-on-one meetings used to help the student examine academic concerns, assess individual strengths, and devise a personal plan of action!

This service is available for all undergraduate students, by appointment only and scheduled through BoilerConnect.

Making an Appointment

  1. Log into BoilerConnect
  2. Select “Make an Appointment”
  3. Select the following filters-
    1. Care Unit: Purdue in Indianapolis
    2. Location: Academic Success Center
    3. Service: ASC Study Skills Consultation
    4. Meeting Type: In-person or Virtual, please note in-person availability may be limited
    5. Comments: Share a little bit about why you are scheduling a consultation

What are Study Skills Consultations

Consultations are:

  • 45-minute meetings with a professional staff member
  • Dedicated time to discuss anything academic skills related
  • Topics include:
    • Time management
    • Study Strategies
    • Exam Preparation
    • Adjusting to college
    • Finding resources
    • Prioritization & organization methods

Consultants are not Academic Advisors and cannot assist with the following:

  • Course registration
  • Course replacement or substitutions
  • CODO processes
  • Removing holds
  • Adds, drops & overrides
