Fencing expected near the Black Cultural Center this summer for utility work

Fencing will be installed along the west side of the Black Cultural Center and into Third Street beginning in mid-May to facilitate a utility project. Access to the main entrance of the center will be maintained and the west entrance will be converted to an emergency exit only. The Third Street corridor will remain open while fencing is in place.

Fencing will then shift accordingly along the west side of the building as the work progresses, moving from the south end of the sidewalk to the northwest corner of the building.

The project is expected to be completed in mid-October.

Pedestrians and bicyclists should use caution in the area and obey all posted signs.

Questions may be directed to Margaret Danao, senior project manager, at madanao@purdue.edu.
