South Russell Street closure set to begin April 3

South Russell Street from south of Harrison Street to north of the railroad tracks will close for reconstruction on April 3. The closure is scheduled to last until May 30.

A detour route for the public includes South Martin Jischke Drive, U.S. 231 and Ahlers Drive. A detour route for university maintenance and utility vehicles is available west of the Veterinary Hospital Complex. See the map below for a detailed outline.

The parking area for A and B permit holders accessed from South Russell Street will also be closed during the reconstruction. Alternate parking will be made available in the Discovery Park Lot, shown at the top of the map.

Motorists should use caution in the area and obey all posted signs.

Questions about the closure may be directed to Kristi Brown, senior project manager, at brownk@purdue.edu. Questions about parking may be directed to Parking and Transportation Services from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 765-494-9497 or parking@purdue.edu.
