Campus parking restrictions in Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage, other locations for home basketball games

The Purdue basketball season is underway with home men’s and women’s games beginning this week. Faculty, staff and students should be aware that campus parking restrictions will be in place for these events and plan accordingly.

The Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage is designated event parking for home men’s basketball games and will become paid event parking as of 4:30 p.m. on game days during the week and three hours prior to tip-off for weekend games. The parking garage will remain available to the campus community during women’s home games.

Anyone entering the Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage after the designated times — including those who have an “A” or “C Garage” permit — will be required to pay event parking rates or provide a prepaid, digital athletic event parking permit to gain access.

A number of parking lots will be restricted for event use for both men’s and women’s home games, beginning as early as 4:30 p.m. during the week and at various times on weekends. Vehicles that do not display an athletic parking permit in lots labeled with “No parking” signs during the dates and times listed will be subject to towing at the owner’s expense. Any vehicles that are towed will be taken to the lot at the southwest corner of Harrison Street and South Russell Street.
