Spring 2017 Cooking Demonstrations
All of our scheduled cooking demonstrations cost $10, take place in the Demonstration Kitchen, and are open to Purdue Affiliates only. Sign up at the Member Services desk, fill out the online registration form, or by calling 765.494.3109.
The Demonstration Kitchen strives to make cooking accessible to everyone, by demonstrating delicious recipes and menus that are quick, easy and affordable. We provide a variety of demonstrations and programs in order to accommodate varying interests, ages, and abilities. Our Student Cooking Instructors will provide you with nutrition information, culinary techniques, and food sanitation guidelines. You will also have the opportunity to sample the dishes prepared during the demonstration you attend. Recipes cards are provided.

Want the inside scoop on how to refuel properly before/after exercise? Learn how to incorporate protein into a delicious shake or snack at this demonstration! Recipes include Classic Strawberry Smoothie, Homemade Cliff Bars, Vanilla Bean Smoothie, Blueberry Pineapple Dream Smoothie and Orange-Peach Smoothie.

What comes to mind when you think of a typical salad? Gain the courage & skills to break the salad stereotype at this cooking demonstration by creating salads without the lettuce! Recipes include a Tabbouleh Salad, Asian Salad, and Roasted Vegetable Salad.

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, this cooking demonstration will provide the necessary skills to create a delicious & romantic meal. Recipes include Marinated Flank Steak w/ Avocado Garlic Sauce, Greek Yogurt Mashed Potatoes, Spinach Salad with Fresh Raspberries and Pecans and Chocolate Cakes for Two.
