Spring 2017 Cooking Demonstrations
All of our scheduled cooking demonstrations cost $10, take place in the Demonstration Kitchen, and are open to Purdue Affiliates only. Sign up at the Member Services desk, fill out the online registration form, or by calling 765.494.3109.
The Demonstration Kitchen strives to make cooking accessible to everyone, by demonstrating delicious recipes and menus that are quick, easy and affordable. We provide a variety of demonstrations and programs in order to accommodate varying interests, ages, and abilities. Our Student Cooking Instructors will provide you with nutrition information, culinary techniques, and food sanitation guidelines. You will also have the opportunity to sample the dishes prepared during the demonstration you attend. Recipes cards are provided.

Restaurant Meals Made at Home

Tired of dining out all the time? Sick of wasting your money on takeout? Learn how to make your favorite restaurant dishes at home by coming to this demo! Recipes include Bruschetta, Creamy Fettuccini Alfredo, Lemon Garlic Spinach Salad, and New York Style Cheesecake.
5 Ingredient Foods
Monday, April 3, 7-8pm
Just imagine a delicious & nutritious recipe with only 5 ingredients…This cooking demonstration focuses on preparing quick, easy & affordable meals with minimal ingredients. Recipes include Grilled Bruschetta Chicken, Cinnamon Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Parmesan Green Beans and Sautéed Apples with Granola.

What foods are commonly found in a Mediterranean diet? Come find out at this cooking demonstration! Recipes include Homemade Hummus, Baked Tilapia with Tomatoes and Fresh Herbs, Couscous with Nuts and Dried Fruit, Honey Peaches Stuffed with Ricotta and Almonds and Sangria.
Brain Food for Finals

Join students from NUTR 424 as they present free “mini- demonstrations,” designed to teach you how to maximize your brain power through nutrition! A variety of recipes and nutrition information will be shared to help you improve your concentration.
