Crockpot cooking classes being offered for Purdue faculty, staff and students

Crockpot cooking demonstrations will be held this spring in the Demonstration Kitchen at the Córdova Recreational Sports Center.

Menu and ingredients are provided. Participants take care of the prep work and leave with a meal for four in their crockpot. Participants without a crockpot can bring a container to take the meal with them to cook at home.

Crockpot Complete Meals for Four will be held 12:15-12:45 p.m. Fridays in the Demonstration Kitchen. The demonstration classes are open to all Purdue students, faculty and staff and their families. Membership at Recreation and Wellness ("the Co-Rec") is not required. The cost is $20 per person, and advance registration is necessary. To register, call 765-494-3109 or go online.

Feb. 2: Honey Garlic Chicken & Vegetables

Feb. 16: Pineapple Pulled Pork Tacos

March 2: Thai Peanut Chicken Lettuce Wraps

March 23: Meaty Lasagna

April 6: Creamy Lemon Chicken & Spaghetti

April 20: Easy Beef Fajitas

The Demonstration Kitchen staff strives to make cooking accessible to everyone by demonstrating delicious recipes and menus that are quick, easy and affordable. The staff provides a variety of demonstrations and programs in order to accommodate varying interests, ages and abilities.
