Engagement and Service-Learning Summit to be held March 1

The Office of Engagement, Center for Instructional Excellence, and Purdue Honors College will host the second annual Engagement and Service-Learning Summit: Partnerships for Purpose from 1 to 5:30 p.m. March 1 in Honors Hall at the Honors College and Residences North Building.

The event serves to bring together faculty, students, staff and community partners to discuss best practices in engagement and service-learning, highlight accomplishments, and increase collaboration opportunities. The agenda of the event will include a leading scholar in service-learning, Patti Clayton, senior scholar at Center for Service Learning at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Clayton will facilitate a highly interactive session on project and partnership formation. A showcase with networking and hors d’oeuvres will conclude the event. The showcase is open to faculty, students and community partners.

Abstracts for poster presentations to be showcased at the summit can be submitted until 5 p.m. Feb. 16. Summit registration is due at 5 p.m. Feb. 22. To register and submit an abstract, visit www.conf.purdue.edu/engagementsummit.
