Tutoring or Academic Help The difference
between high school classes and college classes is great.
The difficulty of the material, the time required to learn
and understand the material is more substantial, and your
lifestyle is different. All of these things might lead to
a need for extra help in some of your more difficult classes.
There are resources available at Purdue to help you succeed
academically. Please look at the links below to find tutoring
and academic support programs that are available to you as
a Purdue student.
There are many people and services all around campus
that can help your academics while in college. These people help you
through tutoring and academic assistance. Each department and each
school offers their own set of tutors and academic assistance.
From SSINFO, click on Academic and then Course Tutors.
The Course Tutor page enables a person to search the current listings
of available tutors at the West Lafayette campus, which are maintained
by Student Services/Dean of Students. The search requests listings
based on a Course Subject and a Course Number or a Course Level.
IDC promotes the use and development of teaching
and learning technologies through a variety of services for faculty,
students, and staff within the Purdue community.
The Academic Success Center can help you, as a student,
develop the learning strategies necessary to be successful academically.
All majors are welcome.
The Undergraduate Studies Program (USP) allows you
to explore your options and interests before you select a major, giving
you plenty of guidance along the way. In USP, you will have up to
four semesters to select the major that is right for you. We will
equip you to make informed decisions — saving you time, money,
and a lot of headaches.

at the same time and/or at different
times.
Span Plan helps new students adjust to the University
environment. Academic, career, and personal counseling are available
for the adult learner. Span Plan acts as a resource office for the
nontraditional student.
