Poster Presentation and Certificate of Excellence in Research

Poster Presentation

Poster applications for the 2024 Office of Interdisciplinary Graduate Program's (OIGP) Spring Reception are now closed. Our reception will take place in-person this year on May 1st, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the North & South Ballrooms in Purdue Memorial Union.  Poster judging will run from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., but the posters will be up to view until 3:30 p.m.

All participants are enrolled in a graduate program at the Purdue University West Lafayette Campus.  Some research might have previously been presented at another event, but the students must have made noticeable progress with their work since the last time they presented. The posters will be either a physical print or digital presentation as an individual or group presentation. All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of faculty and administrative judges.

Certificates of Excellence in Research

All presentations are automatically entered for the Certificate of Excellence award in their area, which recognizes the best interdisciplinary presentation for their particular Interdisciplinary Graduate Program. Students automatically qualify for the Certificate of Excellence Award if they complete a poster presentation and are from an Interdisciplinary Graduate Program. Presenters will be judged by select Purdue faculty and administrators.  Judges will consider the interdisciplinary nature of the project and the student’s ability to communicate their research to a lay audience. Final scores will be collected at the event. Winners will be notified via email and announced on the OIGP website and social media.

Winners of the Certificate of Excellence award will receive a certificate to honor their achievement. Certificates could be awarded to graduate students in each interdisciplinary area:
