RCHE's seed grant program helps Purdue researchers grow new research lines. This year, RCHE is introducing a second seed grant program to provide funding for faculty and researchers to test research results in a clinical or applicable real-world setting. Faculty and researchers from all Purdue campuses are eligible to submit proposals. Researchers are expected to show the impact of the research at the end of the funding.
This research team is working to determine the impact of health literacy on self-care ability and medication administration among heart failure patients.It's the science of healthcare delivery. Engineers look at problems or systems and design new or improved ways of making those systems work — like finding better ways to make a car more fuel efficient, for example. In healthcare engineering, the system is the healthcare system and includes all facets, from medication safety to patient and family engagement. At the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering, our faculty draw on engineering, communications, management, and more, but all with the end result of finding ways to improve the healthcare system.
