Access Engineering (AE) is a summer kindergarten-8th grade outreach program that partners with local summer camps in Central Indiana to bring hands-on engineering activities to a variety of summer programs. Led by trained female engineering students, AE has been successfully running since the summer of 2013 and continues to spark curiosity for hundreds of students each summer. Through partnerships with several organizations, the Women in Engineering (WiE) Program is able to impact over 1,300 students in only one summer! Depending on the camp format, we will visit some camps more than once with a different activity each time over the course of the summer. We will assess the impact of AE on students' perception of and familiarity with what engineers do, as well as their perception of and interest in engineering before and after the AE program.

Individuals of all races, genders, and backgrounds are welcome.
