What do you get through your involvement in the Women in Engineering Program? A network of fantastic female engineers! Purdue’s Women in Engineering Program allows me to network with like-minded females that share similar experiences and aspirations for a career in engineering. These connections provide a sense of community far away from home, but also offer valuable alumni networking and career preparation. The Women in Engineering program has not only allowed me to make amazing friends but has helped me develop professionally.

Why did you decide to participate in the Women in Engineering Program? I am lucky to have a community of people that support me to pursue a career in a male-dominated field, and I wanted to be that for my peers. By working on the leadership team, I can work directly with prospective students to empower them to be female engineers. The Purdue Women in Engineering Program has truly made large strides in increasing the number of women in engineering, and I knew I had to be a part of program that was making a such a big difference.
