When Brittany Allensworth came to Purdue as a student in 2008, she didn’t initially feel as though she belonged. She found support within Horizons Student Support Services, Purdue’s federally funded TRIO program that provides services and support for low-income and first-generation college students and students with documented disabilities. Jon Harbor has been described by colleagues as a “true ambassador for the discipline of geography and for the contributions that geomorphology can make to scholarship and to society.” The Geomorphology Specialty Group of the American Association of Geographers has honored Harbor with its Melvin G.
