'This Is Purdue': NASA spacesuit engineer Amy Ross discusses Purdue's impact on her career

The new episode of "This Is Purdue" podcast features Amy Ross, NASA spacesuit engineer and Purdue alumna. Ross discusses her first big design project at NASA, where she thinks the future of space exploration is headed and working with her father, NASA astronaut and fellow Purdue alum Jerry Ross. Ross also touches on the importance of introducing students to STEM education early, women trailblazers in engineering and space, and the power of the Purdue community. PMU ground floor reopens as new Atlas Family Marketplace

The ground floor of the Purdue Memorial Union, now known as the Atlas Family Marketplace, reopened Monday (Jan. 10), in time for the start of the spring semester, following a $47 million renovation to overhaul 67,000 square feet and provide 12 retail dining venues. Visitors will find 900 interior seats in a variety of styles and configurations to enhance versatility and collaboration.

Thyme and oregano possess an anti-cancer compound that suppresses tumor development, but adding more to your tomato sauce isn't enough to gain significant benefit. The key to unlocking the power of these plants is in amplifying the amount of the compound created or synthesizing the compound for drug development.
