Soccer players' risk of head injury could lessen with simple adjustments to the ball, study finds

Up to 22% of soccer injuries are concussions that can result from players using their heads to direct the ball during a game. To reduce risk of injury, a new Purdue study recommends preventing how hard a ball hits the head by inflating balls to lower pressures and subbing them out when they get wet.

Purdue breaks ground on Hagle Hall, the new home of Bands & Orchestras

Marc and Sharon Hagle joined Purdue officials on Thursday (Nov. 12) for the groundbreaking ceremony of Marc and Sharon Hagle Hall, the new home of Purdue Bands & Orchestras. Approved by the Purdue Board of Trustees in December 2019, the $20 million, 37,500-square-foot, four-story facility will be built at the southeast corner of Third and Russell streets.

Center fuses students' passion for engineering, entertainment careers

Driving innovation for students at the intersection of engineering and entertainment is the mission of a new interdisciplinary center at Purdue. The newly created Fusion Studio for Entertainment and Engineering (FSEE) connects the fields of live entertainment and engineering, building on a long-standing partnership between the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Engineering.
