Today: Reaccreditation drop-in sessions open to all

All faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in drop-in sessions as part of Purdue’s reaccreditation process. The University is undergoing a reaccreditation evaluation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a reaffirmation process undertaken once every 10 years.

Purdue's Homecoming 2019 celebrated and thanked the University community, alumni and friends for the past year, during which the land-grant institution recognized its remarkable giant leaps while looking toward the future to address the world’s problems. Purdue’s 150th anniversary and its Giant Leaps campaign concluded Saturday (Oct. 12).

An astronaut reunion took place during October’s Homecoming festivities to celebrate the end of Purdue’s sesquicentennial, “150 Years of Giant Leaps.” Twelve astronauts who have flown with NASA and one commercial astronaut attended the reunion on Oct. 10-12, where they spoke to Purdue classes, visited local schools and toured campus. The astronauts also attended a meet and greet with the public and were recognized during halftime of the Homecoming football game.

Purdue's Ray Ewry Sports Engineering Center to honor Olympian, alumnus

Purdue will create a sports engineering and research center named in honor of a record-setting Olympian and Purdue graduate. The Ray Ewry Sports Engineering Center was announced Saturday (Oct. 12) during the University’s Homecoming football game. The College of Engineering will advance research and learning benefits to athletes and students through the sports engineering center.
