Out with the old, in with the new … habits, that is

“Create a Habit,” a workshop focused on creating new habits and getting rid of old ones that are hindering personal achievements, is being offered by the Center for Healthy Living (CHL) on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus.

“We often have the urge to make changes in our lives, but aren’t always sure where to start in order to make them sustainable,” says Whitney Soto, registered nurse health coach at CHL. “It’s important to outline your goals and try and recognize what habits are interfering. Then, we have the ability to create new habits that will help us reach and maintain the goals we have for ourselves.”

The workshop will take place from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. on Oct. 16 at Stewart Center, Room 278. Individuals interested in attending should register by Oct. 15 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. Registration link can be found under the “Engage” tab, “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage.

Workshops provided by the Center for Healthy Living (and in conjunction with Purdue Extension) are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan. Any questions can be directed to CHL at 765-494-0111.
