President Mitch Daniels honored Purdue custodian Carol Burke with the One Brick Higher Award on Tuesday (April 16) during a quarterly awards reception for Physical Facilities staff for her key role in ensuring that a student received vital assistance during a time of need.

What giant leaps will the next 150 years bring as Purdue continues its drive to meet the world's future challenges? In this monthly Purdue Today series, Purdue's deans will share their thoughts on the future of their college over the next 150 years. The series continues with Karen Plaut, the Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture.

space exploration

What will it take for the U.S. to return to the moon and send humans to Mars and beyond? These are a couple of the topics that will be discussed at the “What IF We Blaze a Path to Mars?” public forum on space policy on April 25. A panel discussion will feature NASA's Bill Gerstenmaier, Mary Lynne Dittmar of the Coalition for Deep Space Exploration, and Jonathan Lunine from Cornell University. President Mitch Daniels will moderate the Ideas Festival event.

Some of the key mottos for Purdue Polytechnic High School Indianapolis are “learn through STEM and design thinking immersion,” “personalized learning,” and “learn by doing.” They are concepts that seem to be sticking for the charter school that just opened its doors in 2017. After a strong showing in district and state competitions, SuPURDUEper, Purdue Polytechnic High School’s FIRST Robotics team, is headed to the national tournament April 24-27.
