Welcome to Boiler Gold Rush (BGR), Purdue's orientation program that occurs the week before classes begin.
The purpose of this site is to give a general overview of the BGR new student orientation program and to introduce you to the student staff structure.

Orientation Week!

In the fall, just before the start of school, all new students are expected to participate in a Purdue New Student Orientation Experience. While a few students will participate in orientation programs run by Bands, Athletics, and Purdue Musical Organizations, the rest of the students will attend Boiler Gold Rush.
Information about each is below:

BGR Ross Ade

BGR is Purdue's week-long orientation held the week before classes begin. During BGR you will learn how to succeed academically, will make friends, and will learn your way around campus.
There is a $320 fee to attend BGR, which covers most meals and all programmatic costs during the week.

BGR 2014 will take place over August 17-August 24, 2014!
Move in will take place on August 16th and August 17th, 2014, with official programming beginning on Sunday, August 17!

BGRi is a supplemental component of Boiler Gold Rush (BGR) specifically created for international students. It is held the four days before BGR.

Students interested in trying out for Purdue's All-American Marching band are required to participate in Band Camp which takes place at the same time as BGR.

Purdue Musical Organizations (PMO)

Students who audition and are accepted into either the Purdue Varsity Glee Club or the Purduettes, will be required to participate in PMO’s week long pre-season camp, which takes place at the same time as BGR.

Intercollegiate Student-Athletes

All incoming student-athletes are expected to participate in Boiler Gold Rush. 
Fall sport participants are not able to participate in BGR due to their practice schedules and should contact their athletics academic support services advisor to discuss options for their specific sport.
