Theresa Mayer appointed Carnegie Mellon vice president for research

I am writing to share the news that this morning Carnegie Mellon University announced Theresa Mayer as its next vice president for research, beginning Feb. 1. President Chiang shared a message earlier today congratulating Theresa and celebrating her accomplishments. You can read the message here.

I want to thank Dr. Mayer for all her hard work and dedication to the research enterprise, the record research expenditures, and the foundation she built for the Purdue Applied Research Institute. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Mayer on her new role!
