Purdue adds faculty to AnalytiXIN innovation efforts

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University’s Office of Research has named seven faculty members to serve as the latest research fellows in Indiana’s AnalytiXIN, an academic-industry initiative based in Indianapolis.

Launched in 2021, AnalytiXIN was established to develop an innovative digital community, including a collaboration location in Indianapolis, to strengthen engagement among academic researchers and their industry counterparts. Its goal is to drive sustained innovation and enable Indiana companies to expand their digital capabilities and skilled workforces. AnalytiXIN emphasizes research in the life sciences and manufacturing — two of Indiana’s key economic drivers.

In 2023, Purdue named nine faculty fellows to participate in AnalytiXIN, which also collaborates with researchers at Indiana University and Notre Dame.

The 2024 Purdue AnalytiXIN fellows are:

  • Nicole Adams, associate research professor with the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE)
  • Boran Gao, assistant professor of social genomics and biological sciences
  • Brett Meyers, assistant research professor with RCHE
  • Behzad Sharif, associate professor of biomedical engineering and electrical and computer engineering
  • Ilya Slizovskiy, assistant professor of antimicrobial resistance and farm animal medicine
