Life sciences industry leader to discuss pharmaceutical manufacturing in Discovery Park Distinguished Lecture Series talk

Rahul Singhvi will give a talk titled “Manufacturing: The Next Big Thing in Pharma” at 10 a.m. in the Martin C. Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering.

Rahul Singhvi, a global leader and entrepreneur in the life sciences industry, will speak at Purdue on Friday (March 7) as part of the Discovery Park Distinguished Lecture Series.

Singhvi, a serial entrepreneur who most recently cofounded the U.S.-based biomanufacturing company National Resilience Inc., will give a talk titled “Manufacturing: The Next Big Thing in Pharma” at 10 a.m. in the Martin C. Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering.

National Resilience Inc. is a biomanufacturing company dedicated to securing biopharmaceutical supply chains and expanding access to complex medicines. It provides end-to-end manufacturing solutions to ensure lifesaving treatments, such as gene and cell therapies, biologics, vaccines and nucleic acids, are produced quickly, safely and at scale. As the former CEO of National Resilience Inc., Singhvi was recognized by Goldman Sachs as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2022.

Singhvi graduated as the top-ranked chemical engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, obtained his MS and ScD degrees in chemical engineering from MIT, and received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to Resilience, he was an operating partner at venture capital firm Flagship Pioneering, where he cofounded and operated companies launched from Flagship’s innovation foundry. He also led worldwide vaccine manufacturing operations as the Takeda Vaccine Business Unit chief operating officer and transformed Novavax Inc. from a specialty pharmaceutical business into a vaccine company while serving as the president and CEO.

In addition to his formal lecture, Singhvi will talk with students affiliated with the institute as well as those from the Lilly Scholars at Purdue program and the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He will also be speaking at the 2025 Indiana Life Sciences Manufacturing Summit on Thursday (March 6).
