Kickoff event for new Young Institute manufacturing space

Join officials and leaders in advanced manufacturing in pharmaceuticals on Oct. 4 from 3-6 p.m. to kick off of the space renovation for the William D. and Sherry L. Young Institute for Advanced Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals in the Indiana Manufacturing Institute. Tour the space and learn more about advanced manufacturing and opportunities to participate with the Young Institute and LyoHUB. Refreshments will be provided.

The 10,000-square-foot Young Institute facility in the IMI will host four manufacturing areas, a shared analytical space and more, all dedicated to speeding the pharmaceutical manufacturing process. The space will also house a technology racetrack by LyoHUB, a Purdue-led industry consortium to advancing the science and technology of lyophilization, or freeze drying, for pharmaceutical manufacturing, and be used to accelerate development of a highly-skilled next-generation workforce in biotechnology processing.
 
The event will also feature the launch of Lyo2040, LyoHUB’s technology roadmap for pharma and biotech manufacturing.
