Michelle Ashcraft

Michelle Ashcraft is the Director of Purdue Promise and also serves at the Site Supervisor for ScholarCorps at Purdue. She is from Seymour, Indiana and is a Boilermaker alumnae, earning a B.S. in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. She has a M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina (USC), and came back to Purdue in 2012 after 5 years in the SEC at USC and the University of Kentucky. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at Purdue. She is a Bridges Out of Poverty certified Lifetime Trainer and a QPR Gatekeeper Trainer. Outside of work Michelle loves going to concerts, college sporting events, and festivals; cooking; being an aunt to her niece and nephew; spending time with her family; and traveling.

Jazmine Clifton

Jazmine Clifton has been the Senior Assistant Director with the Purdue Promise program since October 2020. Born in New Mexico, but attended Arizona State University, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Wellness. She received her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University. Through experiences with AVID and TRiO, she has developed a passion for working with student access and success programs involving mentorship, shared experiences, and personal development. Jazmine currently serves as the Co-Advisor for the Black Student Union as well as a Faculty Fellow. She enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, dancing, reading, volunteering, playing with puppies, and eating delicious foods!

Joseph Strickler

Joseph Strickler has been the Assistant Director for Purdue Promise since October 2020 after joining the program as a Student Success Coach in 2018. Born and raised in West Lafayette, IN, Joseph is what some would call a “townie.” Joseph received his Bachelors in History from Purdue University. After graduating from Purdue, Joseph began his educational career in Indianapolis, IN teaching while also coaching football and swimming. Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife and son, attending Purdue sporting events, watching Netflix & Marvel movies, playing with his dog, loves everything Disney, and relaxing at home on a lazy Sunday.

Courtney Wilson

Courtney Wilson has been a Student Success Coach for the Purdue Promise program since November 2018. She is from Williamsport, IN and now resides in West Lafayette. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Hanover College and earned her Masters of Science in Higher Education from Purdue University Global. Courtney is passionate about working with students and focuses on their holistic development while at Purdue. She loves all things Halloween and enjoys going to the gym, drinking coffee, watching anime, and spending time with her dogs, Chloe & Whiskey.

Sarah Rice

Sarah Rice is a Student Success Coach for the Purdue Promise Program. She is from Owosso, Michigan and completed her bachelor’s degree in earth and environmental sciences at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Through her past experiences in admissions and recruitment, Sarah worked directly with students from rural areas in northern Michigan. This has helped her develop a strong passion for college access and student support. She is excited to continue this work at Purdue. Sarah enjoys cooking, exercising, traveling, the outdoors, and is also passionate about all forms of health and wellness.

Abby McBride

Abby McBride is a Student Success Coach for the Purdue Promise Program. She began working for Purdue in July 2019 after receiving her Master’s degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Indiana State University. She also completed her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Indiana State where she was a member of the Women’s Track and Field team and a 21 st Century Scholar. In graduate school, Abby primarily worked as an Academic Coordinator for Indiana State Athletics. She is originally from the small town of Covington, Indiana. Outside of work, Abby loves to travel, try new restaurants, exercise, be outdoors, spend time with friends & family, and hangout with her dog, Nala.

Jaimee Barr

Jaimee Barr started as a Student Success Coach for the Purdue Promise program in August 2019. As an alumna of the 21 st Century Scholars program, she earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Ball State University. While working toward her undergraduate degree, Jaimee was involved in Fraternity/Sorority Life, residence life, student activities, and more. This involvement helped her discover her passion for student development and led her to pursuing a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University. In addition to her role at Purdue, Jaimee enjoys volunteering for her sorority, Phi Mu, both on a national and local level, as well as watching movies, crafting, cuddling with her dog, and talking about (or going to) Disney.

McKalaih Mitchell

McKalaih Mitchell is a 2018 Purdue Alum. During her undergraduate years, she interned with the Military Family Research Institute, volunteered with Purdue's Veteran Success Center, and was a research assistant turned project coordinator with the PACERLab. Her future career goals include obtaining a PhD in Counseling Psychology and will start her Master’s in Higher Education with Purdue Global in spring 2021. In her down time, she enjoys baking, hiking, free climbing, annoying her Whoodle, and spending time with friends and families.

Dylan Whipple

Dylan Whipple is a Student Success Coach for the Purdue Promise Program. He is from Mt. Vernon, Indiana and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Wichita State University in 2018. He also earned a Master of Education from Wichita State University in 2020 while working in their athletic department. Dylan’s professional background in athletics allowed him to work directly with diverse groups of domestic and international student-athletes. This led him to discover a passion for improving student success during their academic career while also preparing them for a successful post-education transition into the professional world. Outside of work, Dylan enjoys attending concerts and sporting events; as well as listening to music, reading, fishing, and playing golf.

Tyra Baker

Tyra Baker is a Student Success Coach for the Purdue Promise Program. She graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in May 2020 with a Purdue Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors concentrating in International Studies and Cultural Anthropology. While at IUPUI, Tyra was involved in various cultural organizations, Fraternity/Sorority Life, working and going on international experiences (studied abroad in South Korea), student activities, student peer-mentoring, Top 100, and more. The mixture of the wide range of involvement on campus helped her grow a passion for student leadership, success, and development in multicultural settings domestically and internationally. Tyra is now pursuing a Master's of Education in International and Comparative Education at Indiana University to further her love for international multiculturalism and cross-cultural understanding and practices in Higher Education. She hopes one day to lead students on a study abroad program. Outside of work, Tyra is a National Education Director for her sorority, Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc., practicing yoga, reading, visiting and trying local cafes, listening to BTS, re-watching Criminal Minds, and spending time with friends and family.

Allison Staley is an experienced Financial Aid Administrator with a demonstrated history of working in higher education with experience at The University of Texas at Austin, Augustana College, and Western Illinois University where she earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science as a student. She is proficient in event and project management, community outreach, collaboration, and Financial Aid issues throughout the country with the goal of using her skills to better serve and advocate for those within Student Success Programs at Purdue University.
