Michelle Ashcraft is the Director of Purdue Promise and also serves at the Site Supervisor for ScholarCorps at Purdue. She is from Seymour, Indiana and is a Boilermaker alumnae, earning a B.S. in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. She has a M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina (USC), and came back to Purdue in 2012 after 5 years in the SEC at USC and the University of Kentucky. She is a Bridges Out of Poverty certified Lifetime Trainer and a QPR Gatekeeper Trainer. Outside of work Michelle loves going to concerts, college sporting events, and festivals; cooking; being an aunt to her niece and nephew; spending time with her family; and traveling.

Jess has worked with Purdue Promise since May 2014. Prior to becoming an Assistant Director, she was a Student Success Coach with the program. Jess identifies as a first-generation student, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and 7-12 Social Studies Education from the University of Mount Union, in addition to a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from Kent State University. She has experience in academic advising, student athlete academic support, tutoring services, and Supplemental Instruction. Jess considers herself a true “Midwesterner,” and loves the outdoors, travel, cats, reading, tea, crafting, and the color green.

Alyssa Dahmer was a Student Success Coach, prior to becoming an Assistant Director for Purdue Promise.  The self-proclaimed Midwesterner attended the University of Iowa to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  Following graduation, she served one year in AmeriCorps, was a learning communities coordinator at Wartburg College, and then earned her Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Learning & Development at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before arriving to Purdue.  In her free time, you can typically find Alyssa playing board games, watching science fiction shows and movies, sewing, listening to podcasts, bowling, reading up on positive psychology topics, snacking, or lounging with her cat, Kinnick.

Ariel Brooke Robinson is a Student Success Coach for the Purdue Promise program. She began working at Purdue June 2016 after receiving her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Millikin University, which is also located in her hometown of Decatur, IL. She enjoys having fun conversations with her students and attending student events on campus when possible. She likes to do small craft projects, anything Disney (especially The Little Mermaid!), going to the movie theatre and loves a good shrimp taco!

Jazmine Clifton has been a Student Success Coach with the Purdue Promise program since June 2016. Born in New Mexico, but attended Arizona State University, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Wellness. She received her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University. Through experiences with AVID and TRiO, she has developed a passion for working with student access and success programs involving mentorship, shared experiences, and personal development. Jazmine currently serves as the Co-Advisor for the Black Student Union as well as a Faculty Fellow. She enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, dancing, reading, volunteering, playing with puppies, and eating delicious foods!

Haley Young serves as a Student Success Coach with Purdue Promise. She was born and raised in Ohio and received her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Otterbein University and her master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. Haley identifies as a first-generation college student and became interested in working in access and student success related programming while learning about the hidden rules of college and educational pipeline in graduate school. Outside of work, Haley enjoys going on walks, exploring new places, visiting college campuses, and attending concerts.

Aaron Harris serves as a Student Success Coach with the Purdue Promise Program. Born and raised in Louisville, KY (Go Cards!!). Aaron received both his Bachelors in Organizational Communication & Masters in H.D.L. with an emphasis in College Student Personnel from Murray State University. Prior to working at Purdue University, Aaron most recently spent time at Eastern Kentucky University working as a Diversity Specialist in the Office of Admissions. Aaron avidly enjoys cooking, traveling, and gaming (PS4). In addition to these habits, Aaron also has an extensive shoe collection. Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Grace pursued a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Saint Louis University.  While there she also worked with food insecurity outreach and crisis management through the University of Missouri St. Louis.  After completing her bachelors, Mary Grace attended The University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!) in the Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Personnel program and worked as a graduate assistant in the Office of Admissions and the Office of Fraternal Leadership and Learning.   In her free time, Mary Grace loves watching Cardinals baseball and college football, trying new Pioneer Woman Recipes, and listening to podcasts.

Alyson Beland is a Student Success Coach for Summer Start. She joined the Office of Student Success in June 2017 after completing her master’s degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in College Student Affairs Leadership at Grand Valley State University. While completing her master’s coursework she served as an Assistant Living Center Director for first-year students. Her alma mater, Central Michigan University, is where she obtained her Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Integrative Public Relations. CMU is also the place that sparked her interest in the Higher Education field while working as a new student orientation leader. Outside of work, Alyson enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, traveling to new places and petting as many dogs as possible.

Student Success Financial Aid Administrator

Junia McDole is the Financial Aid Administrator for Student Success programs at Purdue University. She graduated from Indiana State University with her Bachelors of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She worked as a Financial Analyst prior to coming to Purdue. She is certified through the National Association of Financial Aid Administrators in the application process, student eligibility, and direct loans, among other things.  She has worked exclusively with low income populations and first generation college students at both private and public four year universities. Her primary role is the education and guidance to students and families regarding financial aid, the application process, financial literacy and budgeting.

Junia is available by appointment or visit her during office hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 1-3pm in Krach 462.
