Jazmine Clifton

Director

Jazmine Clifton (she/her) currently serves as the Director with the Purdue Promise program. Born in New Mexico, but attended Arizona State University, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Wellness. She received her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University. Through experiences with AVID and TRiO, she has developed a passion for working with student access and success programs involving mentorship, shared experiences, and personal development. Jazmine serves as the Advisor for two NPHC organizations, First-Generation Student organization, and is a Faculty Fellow. She enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, dancing, reading, volunteering, playing with puppies, and eating delicious foods!

Summer Bowman

Senior Assistant Director

Summer Bowman serves as the Senior Assistant Director of the Purdue Promise program. She holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Business with majors in Management and Marketing, a minor in Psychology, and a Certificate in Intercultural Competence from Indiana University. Summer is a certified practitioner of the Strong Interest Inventory Career Assessment, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Personality Assessment, and is working towards becoming a certified practitioner of the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Management Assessment. Before joining the Purdue Promise program in September 2023, Summer served as the Lead Academic Advisor at Indiana University Columbus for three and a half years, after serving as Academic Advisor for the Business program for six years. She also taught First-Year Seminar classes every fall semester since 2014. In her previous roles, Summer found working with diverse student populations rewarding. Summer realized her passion for working with students after serving as a Student Office Assistant for the Business program and Student Ambassador in the Office of Admissions, while earning her undergraduate degree. Prior to working in higher education, Summer spent several years managing business operations and supervising and developing employees in the service industry. Summer is originally from Seymour Indiana. She enjoys puzzles, spending time with family, traveling with her husband, and playing with her Chinchilla, Chewy.

Dylan

Dylan Whipple 

Assistant Director

Dylan Whipple joined Purdue Promise as a Student Success Coach in January 2021 and was promoted to Assistant Director in November 2022. He is from Mt. Vernon, Indiana and completed his Bachelor’s in Sport Management at Wichita State University in 2018. He also earned a Master of Education at Wichita State University in 2020 while working in their athletic department as a graduate assistant and student-athlete mentor. Dylan’s background in athletics allowed him to work directly with diverse groups of domestic and international student-athletes. This led him to discover a passion for improving student success during their academic career while also preparing them for a successful transition into the professional world. Outside of work, Dylan enjoys attending concerts and sporting events, listening to music, playing guitar, reading, fishing, and golf.

Dianne Pedroza

Dianne Pedroza joined the Purdue Promise Program in January 2022 as a Student Success Coach and was promoted to Assistant Director in July 2023. She was born and raised in East Los Angeles before heading out to college in rural Ripon, Wisconsin. She graduated from Ripon College in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. While in college, Dianne was working part-time with Cal State Los Angeles Upward Bound Programs. As an alum of the TRIO program, she was knowledgeable and fond of the work the program provided to first-generation, low-income, minority students. She knew she wanted to continue to work in educational programs to support students. Dianne did a year of service with City Year Los Angeles, a couple of years of working as a teacher with KIPP Los Angeles Charter Schools, and eventually became a full-time staff with Cal State Los Angeles Upward Bound as an Academic Advisor. Her experience working with students of diverse backgrounds encouraged her to continue her growth in teaching, advising, and coaching students on how to navigate systems of education. Outside of work, Dianne enjoys spending time with her family and catching up on TV series.

Quinton Skibinski

Quinton Skibinski is a Student Success Coach and Purdue Alumni. He was born and raised in West Lafayette, IN, and has always had a love for Purdue University.  A third-generation Boilermaker, he is a “townie” through and through. While at Purdue University he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision and a certificate in Entrepreneurship. After graduation, he went to work for Purdue Federal Credit Union to both help the community and further his knowledge in both the personal and business financial arenas. Through experiences helping people, Quinton got enjoyment advising and helping people first hand and being able to tailor personal plans for every individual that walked through the door. Aside from work, Quinton enjoys working out, playing video games and board games with friends, going on adventures, watching anything Marvel, cooking/baking, and spending time with his girlfriend.

Lilli Hertel

Student Success Coach

Lilli joined Purdue Promise as a Student Success Coach in August of 2022. Lilli graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services in 2021 from Purdue University. As an undergraduate, she worked as a Library Assistant in Hicks Undergraduate Library, mentored Human Development and Family Science students in HDFS 100, participated in Purdue Contemporary Dance Company, and was a Purdue Promise recipient! After completing her bachelor's degree, Lilli pursued a career in mental health case management, she quickly realized her passion to work in higher education and began success coaching with the Purdue Promise program. She is currently pursuing a Master's in Higher Education with a focus in Student Affairs from Purdue Global and hopes to graduate in Spring of 2024. In her free time, Lilli enjoys running, baking, reading, walking her dog, and spending time with her partner!

Lily Peck

Lily Peck is a Student Success Coach for the Purdue Promise Program. Lily is a first-generation Boilermaker and recently graduated with bachelor’s degrees in both Genetics and Classical Studies, with a minor in Chemistry. As an undergraduate, she served as a Boiler Gold Rush Team Leader International, John Martinson Honors College Ambassador, and a student facilitator in the Roger C. Stewart Leadership & Professional Development Department. Her future goals include obtaining her Master’s in Public Health and eventually attending Medical School to become an OB/Gyn. In her free time, Lily enjoys any and all outdoor adventures, reading, volunteering, traveling, and is currently (half-heartedly) learning how to row crew.

Kara Natzel

Kara Natzel joined Purdue Promise as a Student Success Coach in August 2023. Kara graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences from Purdue University in 2022, with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies, as well as a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. While at Purdue, she served as an HHS Mentor, a Peer Success Coach with the Academic Success Center, and as an Educational Ambassador for CARE. Outside of the workspace, Kara is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work degree through Indiana University, and can also be found completing her fall internship at CARE! In her free time, she enjoys walking her dog in the horticulture garden, visiting coffee shops, and impersonating artists via color by number paintings.

Joshua Delgado

Joshua Delgado is a Student Success Coach for the Purdue Promise Program. Joshua is originally from Stockholm, NJ. He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in History from Quinnipiac University (Hamden, CT) in 2022 and would go on to graduate with a Masters in Teaching in 2023 at Quinnipiac University. As both an undergraduate and graduate, he worked across multiple offices at his alma mater such as an Orientation Leader, Study Hall Monitor, Advising Intern, Supplemental Instruction for QU's Learning Commons. Additionally, he would also go on to complete an internship and student teaching practicum at a local high school in CT during his grad year. Joshua hopes to contribute and support all who will walk through his door! Beyond the workspace, he enjoys working out, going to concerts and comedy shows, movies and board games, and rooting for his strange mismash of sports teams (Ravens, Mavericks, Cubs, Senators).

Katelyn Simon

Katelyn Simon joined Purdue Promise as a Student Success Coach in August 2023. She was born and raised in a small town near Lafayette. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University in 2015. After graduation, she went to work for Clinton Prairie Elementary and had the privilege of teaching 2nd grade for eight years. She had an incredible time learning and growing with her students and loved pursuing her passion for education and helping others. Outside of work, Katelyn enjoys reading, exercising, going on walks with her boyfriend and dogs, and rewatching Harry Potter for the millionth time.
