Physical Facilities staff development, talent management opportunities available

Purdue Human Resources provides a variety of learning opportunities for staff to expand their areas of expertise including Lynda.com, an online training library; the Accomplished Clerical Excellence (ACE) program; Business Book Summaries and a variety of supervisory and leadership development programs. Additional information about these tools and programs is available on the Human Resources Leadership and Organizational Development website.

Beginning this month, Human Resources will offer classroom-style training sessions for all supervisory staff at or above the crew chief level.

Additional professional development opportunities will be offered throughout the year with announcements and information about new training programs available on the Employee Training and Development website.

Because staff development is so vital to the organization, Human Resources is also partnering with the Physical Facilities senior leadership team to pilot a talent management program. The program will include a variety of activities including skill assessments, professional development and experiential learning and is designed to prepare participants to pursue future career goals. The first group of participants is about to begin the program, and as it is implemented over the course of the coming fiscal year, its value and effectiveness will be assessed for potential future expansion.

Questions about any of these development resources and programs may be directed to the Human Resources Specialist who serves your area.
