Annual Staff Awards

Eligibility

Awards are open to any full-time Administrative Operations employee with no disciplinary actions on file and an overall performance rating of at least meets expectations on their most recent performance review. Nominations must be submitted by an employee’s manager. Nominees must be employed by Administrative Operations at the time of nomination and award presentation.

Nominations for 2025 are currently open. The deadline to submit nominations is 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 12.

One winner is selected for each of the three awards. The winners receive a monetary gift, award and certificate during a presentation at the annual staff appreciation meal in October.

Gold Service Award

The Gold Service Award recognizes staff who are high-performing service providers committed to customer care. They provide internal and external customer experiences that demonstrate the value Administrative Operations provides to Purdue. They strive to understand customer needs and create internal alignment to meet or exceed expectations, enhancing the Administrative Operations brand.

Most Valued Principle (MVP) Award

The MVP Award recognizes staff who have operationalized the organization’s guiding principles, contributing to a safe, reliable and transformative culture. They lead by example with reducing risk and harm, delivering timely, dependable services and being innovative in how they operate, which ultimately enhances to Purdue’s competitive advantage.

Outstanding Leader Award

The Outstanding Leader Award recognizes people-centric leaders who visibly work to create a stable, reliable and engaged workforce. They deliver quality outcomes at the lowest possible cost while providing purpose, clarity and support for staff. They lead by example, are fair and open, create a common purpose, challenge the process, empower others to act, build trust and recognize contributions. A leader must have direct reports to be eligible for this award.
