Welcome Chris Reed as senior director of the Purdue Memorial Union and Auxiliary Services Operations

I am pleased to welcome Chris Reed as the new senior director of the Purdue Memorial Union and Auxiliary Services Operations, effective Monday (Aug. 31).

In this role, Chris will oversee the operations of the Purdue Memorial Union, Purdue Conferences and Event Design, Retail Dining, and the Union Club Hotel. Additionally, his team will maintain the Stewart Center and the Krach Leadership Center. Along with this hospitality focused portfolio, Chris will lead initiatives that align with evolving university needs and enhance the student experience.

Chris comes to Purdue from Oakland University in Michigan where he previously served as executive director of the Oakland Center—a 200,000-square-foot student center and union in the center of campus. His responsibilities included managing the annual budget, developing plans for capital and improvement projects, and collaborating with campus partners to create new programming. He also has experience working at Vanderbilt University and Middle Tennessee State University.
