Retirement of Jeff Storms

Jeff Storms, a warehouse and surplus specialist with Materials Management and Distribution, will retire from Purdue University on Friday, July 31 after 10 years of service! Jeff began his Purdue career as surplus supervisor and quickly became a trusted resource for departments across the West Lafayette location. Throughout his tenure, Jeff expertly coordinated and supported countless office, laboratory and building relocations, helping ensure smooth transitions for faculty, staff and students. His attention to detail, commitment to customer service and ability to manage complex projects earned him the respect of colleagues and numerous accolades, including Bravo Awards.

Beyond his operational expertise, Jeff has been known for his willingness to help, collaborative spirit, and dedication to serving the Purdue community. His contributions have played a significant role in supporting the university’s mission and helping departments navigate changes efficiently.

As Jeff begins this well-deserved retirement, we thank him for his years of service, leadership and commitment to excellence. A reception will be held for Jeff on Friday, July 31 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Surplus Operations Building (SRPL), room 146 (staff break room). All are welcome to attend to wish him well in retirement!
