Retirement of Heidi Medrano

After 27 years of dedicated service, Heidi Medrano is retiring from Purdue. Throughout her career, Heidi has demonstrated commitment to excellence, leadership and creating a welcoming environment for all. Since beginning her career in 1998 as a Facilities Manager in HILL, Heidi has consistently demonstrated a passion for supporting both students and staff. In 2017, she transitioned to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) as a residence hall zone leader.

During her time at Purdue, Heidi earned three Bravo Awards in recognition of her outstanding contributions and dedication. She served in a key leadership role on the diversity team, helped organize and attend the Women in Leadership Conference at Hillenbrand and made a meaningful impact on student life by supporting efforts to create additional space in residence halls, allowing more students to benefit from the campus living experience.

Never one to stop learning, Heidi proudly earned her master’s degree from Purdue Global in 2022. Even in retirement, she plans to continue her educational journey by studying to obtain her counseling license.

Outside of work, Heidi enjoys spending time with her family and traveling, which she looks forward to pursuing even more in her retirement.

Please join us in congratulating Heidi on an incredible 27-year career on March 31 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Physical Facilities Service Building (PFSB) in room 1179. We thank her for her dedication, leadership and lasting contributions, and we wish her all the best in this exciting next chapter.
