Welcome Emmy Dowden as structural engineer for Capital Asset Management

I am excited to welcome Emmy Dowden, P.E. to Purdue University as a new structural engineer for Capital Asset Management. She has more than 26 years of experience in engineering and consulting, most recently serving as design engineer for Cornerstone Building Brands in Houston, Texas.

In her new role at Purdue, Emmy will provide engineering support and oversight through project design review and coordination, historical facility research, and field observation. She will ensure that structural projects align with university standards and deliver lasting value to our campus communities. She will work closely with project managers, design teams, operations staff and external partners to guide complex projects from concept through completion.

Emmy is a University of Illinois graduate who holds a professional engineering license in more than 25 states.

Emmy will work alongside David Frash, the university’s current structural engineer. She will start on Monday (Feb. 9) and may be reached by email at downdene@purdue.edu.

Please join me in welcoming Emmy to the Administrative Operations organization!
