Retirement of Kirk Wright

Kirk Wright, a turbine generator operator with Heat and Power in Energy and Utilities, will retire from Purdue University on Friday, Nov. 28 after 43 years of service! Kirk has been at the university since 1982 when he started with Building Services. He then moved to Heat and Power in 1985 and worked at the North Plant (where the Wilmeth Active Learning Center is currently located). Kirk was a chiller operator for many years and key player in getting the Northwest Chiller Plant operational. He has trained many current operators in chiller operation.

From there, Kirk has worked his way up to being a turbine generator operator.

His hard work and dedication will be greatly missed.

If anyone wishes to send Kirk well wishes for his retirement, please email him at klwright@purdue.edu.
