Welcome Damon Bell as senior director of the Purdue Memorial Union and Auxiliary Services

We are pleased to welcome Damon Bell as the new senior director of the Purdue Memorial Union and Auxiliary Services, effective Aug. 6.
In this role, Bell will oversee a broad range of operations across hospitality, conference and event services and auxiliary enterprises. His responsibilities will include strategic oversight of facilities such as the Purdue Memorial Union, Stewart Center, Krach Leadership Center and the Union Club Hotel, as well as leadership of revenue-generating initiatives and management of third-party vendors. Bell will also provide guidance for contract performance and collaborate with key campus partners.
Bell joins Purdue with nearly 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Most recently, he served as senior commercial director for White Lodging, where he led revenue strategy and customer experience initiatives for 16 hotel properties across Indianapolis, San Antonio, Denver and other markets. He also played a key role in the development and opening of the Boilerhouse Prime restaurant and the Clubhouse Bar & Grill at Purdue’s new Pete Dye Clubhouse.
Previously, Bell held leadership roles at Omni Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott and the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. His expertise includes sales and marketing, hotel operations, vendor management, food and beverage service and large-scale event execution.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.
