Retirement of Julie Smith

Julie Smith, Procurement Services lead business analyst, is retiring from Purdue University today (June 30) after 33 years of service. 

In 1992, Julie started her career at Purdue in Development Services, where she processed incoming gifts to the university. Five years later, she moved to the Purchasing Services department, which was later renamed to Procurement Services. Julie has held a variety of roles in Procurement Services over the past 28 years, starting as an assistant buyer for IT products and services, then becoming a purchasing agent, compliance analyst, reporting analyst and finally business analyst.

Julie received two Bravo Awards in 2017, one for operational excellence and the other for innovation/creativity.

Julie has been an invaluable team member with extensive knowledge in all-things-Procurement! We will miss her and wish her well in this next phase.
