Routine water tower maintenance scheduled for March 11-25
Energy and Utilities is taking advantage of low occupancy on campus during spring break to perform maintenance work to ensure the reliability of campus utility services.
Routine interior maintenance is scheduled for the Purdue University Water Tower, located at the northwest intersection of Tower and Slayter Drives, from March 11-25. We have performed this kind of activity in the past without disruption to water pressure and without affecting water quality. Any changes in water appearance is typically remedied by allowing the faucet to run for a few minutes.
Contractors will be using the water tower property and access road for equipment and material deliveries. Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians should be cautious and obey all posted signs.
Please inform stakeholders within your building of the activity and to report maintenance concerns via the Fix It Portal. Project related questions may be directed to Kurtis Veach, water/wastewater supervisor, at ktveach@purdue.edu.
