End of semester, spring schedules announced for Campus Transit, Campus Connect shuttle, CityBus

As the end of the fall semester comes to a close, the campus community should be aware of upcoming transportation schedules and operations. Information on Purdue Campus Transit, the Campus Connect shuttle and CityBus is below.  

Purdue Campus Transit

Purdue Campus Transit provides on-campus transportation service at no cost to the Purdue community during the academic year. 

• Fixed on-campus routes will end on Dec. 19, 2025, and will resume on Jan. 12, 2026.
• On-demand rides to and from select locations will continue normal operations through Dec. 21. Service will remain available Dec. 22-23, though fewer vehicles will operate on those days. Regular service will resume on Jan. 11, 2026.
• If you’re new to Campus Transit, get started by downloading the Purdue Campus Transit mobile app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Riders can view fixed routes, track vehicles in real time, schedule an on-demand ride and more. 
• The most up-to-date information about routes, schedules and any changes will be available in the app, and users are encouraged to check for changes prior to riding.

Campus Connect

The Campus Connect shuttle runs between West Lafayette and Indianapolis locations during fall, spring and summer sessions and is free for faculty, staff and students.

• The Campus Connect shuttle will continue on a normal schedule through Dec. 21.
• Spring semester service will begin on Jan. 10, and daytime weekday routes will operate five minutes earlier than the fall schedule. Two new round-trip shuttles will be offered on Saturday and Sunday evenings. The updated schedule can be found in the R2U mobile app (Google Play Store and Apple App Store) or on the Campus Connect webpage soon.
• New in 2026, ride reservations in the R2U app will be required starting on Jan. 10.
• Faculty, staff and students who are new to R2U need to create an account using their Purdue email address to ensure rides are free. Riders should make sure their app is up to date to receive notifications about schedule changes.

Fall 2025 CityBus Off-Campus Passes

CityBus is a third-party entity that provides off-campus transit in the Greater Lafayette area with fares or semester passes.

• Passes for the fall semester will remain valid through Dec. 31.
• Buses will not run on Dec. 25, and reduced service will be available on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.
• While Purdue is closed for the holidays and winter recess, there will be reduced service on the Happy Hollow and Northwestern Avenue routes.
