Automated deletion routine for O: drive scheduled to be operational Nov. 26
The automated deletion routine for the Administrative Operations O: drive is expected to be operational again on Wednesday (Nov. 26).
The routine will search for files, folders or data that have not been touched in 30 days and delete them from the O: drive, which includes the Exchange All directory. The purpose of the O: drive is to transfer large amounts of data to another AO employee or AO department, but not to use as a storage solution.
The Consultant’s Handbook is the only exception and will be safe from deletion.
Those who are currently storing files, folders or data on the O: drive should relocate this information to another directory or drive. The shared U: or W: drives are recommended.
If the automatic deletion program is not operational again on Wednesday (Nov. 26) due to testing delays, it should be back operational by the end of December. Users are still encouraged to relocate their files, folders and data before Wednesday’s deadline.
