CityBus 41 The Connector service suspended as of Oct. 6; new Campus Transit on-demand stop near residence halls now added
CityBus announced an immediate suspension of 41 The Connector service, which served Purdue’s western edge of campus and provided a connection to downtown Lafayette. As a result, and to help fill the transportation gap for Purdue’s riders, Purdue Campus Transit service is expanding as of Oct. 6 to include a new on-demand stop at MacArthur Drive and First Street.
This new stop is located just one block east of where route 41 The Connector stopped previously near the McCutcheon Residence Hall.
Consistent with other Campus Transit on-demand services, this stop will be available 7 a.m.-12 a.m. Monday through Friday and 4-9 p.m. Sunday. Request a ride through the Purdue Campus Transit mobile app or view additional on-demand stops on the Campus Transit webpage.
The Purdue Campus Transit app and webpage have been updated to reflect this change. Additional potential changes to service are being assessed in response to CityBus’s decision. Updates will be shared if changes are made.
CityBus’ Route 21 McCormick Road runs a path similar to The Connector on campus and also travels into downtown Lafayette. Off-campus routes served by CityBus can be found here.
