Purdue United Way campaign underway, Administrative Operations announces fundraising goal
Administrative Operations is once again participating in the United Way of Greater Lafayette’s annual fundraising campaign. The campaign helps raise money for local agencies.
AO has a fundraising goal of $15,000, which is part of Purdue’s overall goal to raise $700,000 through Nov. 5. There are several ways to donate, including through the Purdue University United Way Campaign website. Donors can support United Way of Greater Lafayette or choose a specific agency.
To help raise funds, a bowling event will be held at the Union Rack and Roll on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All bowling proceeds that day will be donated directly to United Way. Instead of paying to bowl, attendees will be given the cost of a bowling session and invited to make a donation of that amount or more.
Additionally, a silent auction will be held at the AO staff appreciation meal on Oct. 15 with various items available for bids.
Employees who do not wish to donate may still participate in the campaign by visiting the website and selecting the “I Don’t Wish To Give” button. This will count towards AO’s overall participation rate.
