2550 Northwestern Ave. parking changes: permit required starting Aug. 25
New for this academic year, all parking lots at 2550 Northwestern Ave. (2550) will require a Purdue parking permit as of Aug. 25. This will expand university permitted parking capacity and support student permit holders, in addition to faculty and staff.
The following parking permits or placards will be accepted at 2550:
- A/B
- A/B/C/Value (Value permits are available to students only; overnight parking is allowed for these permit holders)
- University Vehicle
- BMV-issued handicap placards or license plates (must be accompanied by a Purdue parking permit)
Starting on Aug. 14, free campus transit will be offered at 2550 with select pick-up and drop-off locations on campus to help faculty, staff and students travel between destinations.
Most permits listed above are available for purchase through the online parking portal as annual permits that are valid through Aug. 15, 2026, and University Vehicle permits can be requested by contacting Parking Operations. A permits can also be purchased for monthly or one-day use. Monthly B permits are also available.
Additionally, some spaces at 2550 will be designated for short-term parking, including 20-minute spaces and hourly ParkMobile spaces with no maximum time per session.
The parking lot was recently restriped, and permit signage will be installed prior to parking enforcement starting on Aug. 25.
Event or departmental visitor parking permits can be requested at parking@purdue.edu.
Parking Operations staff are available between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 765-494-9497 or parking@purdue.edu, and the lobby in Stewart Center G054 is open until 4 p.m.
