Jason Philhower with the Office of Emergency Preparedness earns Certified Emergency Manager credential
I am pleased to announce that Jason Philhower, program manager with the Office of Emergency Preparedness, is now a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM®) through the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM).
Based on his unique skills and acumen, Jason was placed on a rather accelerated pace for completion of his certification within his first year of employment at Purdue. The certification is earned by those who demonstrate a strong understanding of the emergency management field through knowledge, experience, work history, training, education and contributions to the profession. Jason successfully completed an extensive credentials package and written examination. Jason must now recertify every five years in order to maintain this credential.
Please join me in congratulating Jason as this credential represents a monumental achievement within our discipline.
