Technology to improve processes, products and customer service — and enable customization — involving manufactured goods, manufacturing sustainability, IoT, and global supply chain management is the focus of Purdue University’s online smart manufacturing graduate certificate. The program is designed for working professionals in manufacturing and supply chain, as well as information technology professionals, who need to become aware of and utilize cutting-edge smart manufacturing technologies. 

Purdue West Lafayette and Indianapolis faculty, staff and students have an engaging, low-cost opportunity to sharpen their skills and strengthen their impact by upskilling this summer. 

When agribusiness leaders expressed a need for professional development courses to enhance their employees’ knowledge of agronomy topics, Purdue answered the call by starting its Agronomy eLearning Academy. Ten years later, and more than 2,600 students from every state and 48 countries, the online program is still going strong. 

Purdue University Online has announced the recipients of the 2025 Online Excellence Awards.

The awards are intended to recognize professional accomplishment and to promote creative and effective approaches to learning delivered via digital education media.

Purdue’s Brightspace team has announced the selection of the Brightspace Innovation Grant recipients for 2025. The Brightspace Innovation Grant program encourages faculty and staff to explore new and emerging approaches to teaching and learning using Brightspace, Purdue’s learning management system.

Online Google Career Certificates are available through Purdue in Digital Marketing & E-commerce, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Information technology (IT) support, and Project Management for Purdue faculty, staff and students as well as the public. No experience is required and the self-paced courses can generally be completed in less than six months of part-time study.

Purdue University Teaching and Learning Technologies earned a prestigious Bronze Award in the QS Reimagine Education competition for the Best Use of Generative AI, as applied in the Purdue-developed Variate application.

With more than 400 instructors participating in the fall, these workshops have quickly become a resource for hands-on learning activities centered around the practical applications of cutting-edge generative artificial intelligence technologies.
