Purdue Global and Defense Acquisition University renew and enhance educational partnership

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Global and Defense Acquisition University (DAU) announce a renewed collaboration to provide greater educational opportunities for Department of Defense civilian and military professionals. This partnership marks a significant milestone in facilitating seamless credit transfers toward undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Purdue Global.

The collaboration between Purdue Global, Purdue’s online university for working adults, and DAU, the leading institution in defense acquisition workforce education and training, yields both institutions the opportunity to serve the Department of Defense acquisition workforce around the world, meeting their needs where they are.

Additional Information

This partnership highlights Purdue’s unrelenting commitment to serving the military-affiliated community, ultimately accelerating their educational and professional journeys and enabling them to achieve their academic goals more efficiently. Purdue Global serves approximately 10,000 military-affiliated students, a population that includes uniformed personnel, veterans and eligible dependents.

“Collaborating with Defense Acquisition University underscores our commitment to supporting military personnel, veterans and civilian professionals in their pursuit of higher education,” said Allegra Fowler, executive director at Purdue Global’s Center for Prior Learning Recognition. “We are excited to offer this opportunity, which aligns with our mission to provide flexible and quality education while recognizing the valuable training received at DAU.”

“We appreciate the continued partnership of Purdue Global,” DAU chief of staff Joe Johnson said. “Members of the defense acquisition workforce pursuing their degrees can significantly benefit in terms of time and money saved, thanks to these kinds of relationships.”

Purdue Global empowers students through robust prior-learning credit recognition programs. These include equivalency exams, transfer credit opportunities, experiential learning credit (credit for work experience) and Purdue Global’s PME2Degree program, which turns a student’s professional military education (PME) into college credit. These many options showcase why Purdue Global was ranked No. 8 overall nationally among primarily online universities in the Military Times’ 2023 Best for Vets rankings.
