Purdue University Global launches global business offerings that include first-ever education abroad

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A new Purdue University Global concentration and microcredential in global business will include the university’s first-ever education abroad program.

The four-course MBA/Master of Science in Management and Leadership sequence will begin in September and is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills to pursue career advancement in globally oriented management roles. The program will build knowledge in practical methodologies for the strategic management of people, resources and processes within a global business environment.

The course sequence is as follows:

  • Global Business Environment.
  • Global Management and Leadership.
  • Global Operations.
  • Global Strategy.

Students who already have earned a degree may enroll in the associated Global Business microcredential.

Included in both the degree and microcredential offerings is a one-week education abroad program – a first for Purdue Global – scheduled to take place in March in London. This field experience also will be available virtually should students prefer that option.

“Developing the unique skills necessary to lead in a globalized economy has never been more critical,” said Jeff Buck, Purdue Global vice president and dean of the School of Business and Information Technology. “This program will foster that development and give students the opportunity to put their knowledge into action through our newly designed international field experience.”
