Appointments, honors and activities

 Faculty and staff honors:

Uzay Emir, assistant professor in the School of Health Sciences, has been accepted as a Scialog Fellow for the Scialog: Advancing BioImaging initiative. This competitive program is intended for early career scholars` interested in pursuing collaborative, high-risk, and impactful discovery research on untested ideas in imaging technology and applications.

Allen McCullough, continuing lecturer in the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance, has had two of his compositions selected by record labels for classical recordings. The first composition, “Prelude No. 5,” was picked up by record label RMN and will be released in its 2021 “Modern Music for Piano 3” edition. It will be available on all major digital platforms. The second composition, “The Ugly Duckling,” was chosen by Navona Records to be included in its 34th installment in a series by Society of Composers Inc. This album is available with a limited production of physical CDs and on major digital platforms.

  • Rankings:

A new International Business Times ranking of 70 U.S.-based Executive Master of Business Administration programs has selected Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management Executive MBA program No. 1 for industry diversity, which measures the diversity of industries represented in a class. Purdue shared the top spot with Boston University. The ranking was conducted through “analysis of existing industry factors, college program brochures obtained from college reports, in addition to magazines, journals and online articles.”
