Purdue University Global launches MSN-MBA dual degree option

INDIANAPOLIS — Purdue University Global is offering a new Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) dual degree option. The joint MSN and MBA program can be completed in as little as two and a half years with students taking a total of 88 credit hours.

The program offers advanced nursing and business skills that will allow students to qualify for executive-level leadership positions in health care and beyond.

“We are so pleased to offer the MSN-MBA degree program,” said Melissa Burdi, Purdue Global vice president and dean of the School of Nursing. “This dual degree prepares nurses to lead change in the practice, corporate or academic environment while growing their business and leadership acumen simultaneously. It also equips nurses with necessary knowledge and skills to drive decision-making, both operationally and fiscally.”

The program offers four start dates, the next one being Aug. 26.

Students in the program will take both MSN and MBA courses, allowing them to earn both degrees in less time than it would take to earn each degree by itself. Classes offer 100% online flexibility, although a clinical is required to build hands-on experience.

Courses in the program complement each other to help students create advanced business solutions to complex health care issues and understand fundamental business management principles. Experienced faculty will offer personalized support for students.

To enroll in the online MSN and MBA dual degree option, applicants must be registered nurses with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
